These animals were rescued and nursed back to health through the New Jersey Veterinary Foundation's Stray/Abandoned Animal Program.

Good Samaritans who find sick or injured stray/abandoned animals may bring them to a participating veterinary hospital at no charge. Veterinarians volunteer their time and provide treatment to these animals apart from their practices. Donations to the program help veterinarians continue to provide care by reimbursing them only for a percentage of their medical supplies.
